Rumba

The Rumba is an American Rhythm dance and is therefore classified as a spot dance, meaning it is danced primarily in one area of the floor rather than progressing around the room. Often referred to as the dance of love, the Rumba is characterized by its slow, romantic movements and expressive connection between partners. The Rumba traces its roots to Cuba during the early 20th century, evolving from earlier Afro-Cuban music and dance traditions before becoming one of the foundational ballroom dances.
